I am Grateful: An exercise

by Tanis Helliwell

As I was writing my holiday message to thank you for all of your support this last year, and since we started the International Institute for Transformation in 2000, I was filled with gratitude. The list of gratitudes in my life was endless, and I realized that although I was grateful for good health, loved ones, life on this beautiful planet and fulfilling work, the list did not end there. I realized that many of the difficulties and challenges that I faced this year also made me grateful.

Why? Because through those difficulties I grew more tolerance, flexibility, patience, compassion, forgiveness, and much, much more. In fact, I realized that without the difficulties I would not have grown half as much. So I am grateful to Spirit for sending me all of these opportunities, both negative and positive.

And now to you. I want to invite you to participate in this gratitude exercise with me. I assure you that you will find the same beauty and grace; it will deepen your trust in Spirit’s plan in your life.

Feel gratitude!
